Cardi-B (real name Belcalis Almanzar) got her name from a distilled beverage called “Bacardi”. Cardi-B is 5 feet 5 inches tall with Trinidadian/Dominican blood. She was born in the South Bronx, New York, in 1992. She had a simple family and has said she had good parents. She is a Christian, believes in Jesus, and always prays.

She started working in a supermarket where eventually she got fired. Cardi later became a stripper while going to school but she unfortunately dropped out to focus on being a stripper.
Later, she became an internet sensation with viral videos and vines. Cardi-B talks straight-forward – she has a “no filter attitude”, which means she’ll say whatever she wants.
Her debut was with Shaggy’s remix to his single “Boom Boom”, and singer Popcaan. She made her music video debut December 15, 2015 with the song “Cheap Ass Weave”.
Her first record deal was with Atlantic Records. Her debut single for Atlantic, titled “Bodak Yellow”, reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts and earned her the fame she’s enjoys today. Cardi-B is a feminist, she promotes female empowerment, her music is based on a strong woman who fights, stands up for her rights, and is not afraid of anything.
I guess a bit of trash talking and being straight-forward helped her achieve her good fortune.
